It was great!My experience with KnowledgePoints was nothing but amazing. I first visited the Land O’ Lakes site for Alegbra 2 tutoring and later on I began taking their ACT prep classes. My math tutor was very sweet and my grade improved greatly from the tutoring. My ACT prep classes were extremely helpful and proved very much worth it when I scored higher than I thought I would on the ACT. All of the tutors there are kind, considerate, and help students in every way they can. I always recommend KnowledgePoints to my friends and to anyone who needs their outstanding tutoring. It has made a difference for me…KnowledgePoints Tutoring Center has created a positive impact in my life. They have changed my life by working with me for over a year and providing me with knowledge, structure, and work ethics.
To begin with, KnowledgePoints has given me really good teaching in math, reading, and writing. In math I learned about three and four digit addition, adding and subtracting decimals, and addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions. Also, we work on word problems and follow the steps to solve the problem successfully. KnowledgePoints also taught me how to be a better reader and to take your time because there is no rush on anything. To help my comprehension, they taught me to reread when I didn’t understand something. In writing, they taught me how to use information from the text to support what I write.
I attend KnowledgePoints four days a week, Monday through Thursday, for two hours each day. Each day I focus on specific subjects. For example, on Mondays, I do math and reading, and on Tuesdays, I do math and writing. I know what to expect when I go there. Also, it makes me feel a little bit excited when I go there because I know the tutors well and I like to play jokes on them. I like the structure because I feel safe and I know the tutors care about me.
In addition to providing knowledge and structure, KnowledgePoints has given me a good work ethic because of Success Central. I earn points and use them at Success Central for gift cards, sports things, and toys. I earn the points for working hard. Some of my favorite items to get are gift cards to Planet Smoothie and GameStop. If I don’t work hard, I won’t be rewarded as many points. Overall, it’s taught me to save my points for bigger prizes.
For the reasons above, KnowledgePoints Tutoring Center has been a central part of my life for over a year. KnowledgePoints provides learning, structure, and rewards a work ethic for every student who comes to learn and be a better student.
What we needed…It was a very good experience. We came in with a specific need and left with measurable success. My daughter is currently holding her own with a B in Geometry and passed her Algebra class and EOC. :)

Thank you KnowledgePoints,Here I was, 2 boys, one in the 4th grade, the other in 12th a few months away from graduation. The fourth grader, for the first time that I can recall was constantly whining and complaining that he didn’t understand his math homework. So after several failed attempts at home to try to help him I turned to KnowledgePoints.
The initial diagnostic assessment confirmed that he was performing at a 3rd grade level…shocking!!! So I immediately signed him up for 40 hours…
At the same time (and I know I was late in getting him there), my high school senior had been accepted to the college of his choice, however he was being enrolled in remedial courses because of his ACT/SAT scores. I was beside myself and totally against paying for college courses that didn’t count. He too was rushed to KP in the hopes they would work their “magic” on him.
Needless to say after the time they spent at KP with the wonderful teachers who worked with them, my 4th grader scored a high 4 on his Math FCAT, and I’m happy to report that ALL my college kid’s classes will be counted toward his degree (he increased his ACT score 6 points!).

Making a difference,My son started the second grade barely reading at the first grade level. We started tutoring at Knowledge Points in November 2012 by the time he finished second grade he had jumped a whole level and now has the reading aptitude of his fellow students. As you know Brendan came to KP after receiving less than average reading comprehension scores by his 2nd Grade Teacher. The intensive tutoring he received the summer prior to to starting 3rd grade made a huge difference! Throughout the school year Brendan maintained a B in Reading and he scored a 1476 on his 2011 Reading FCAT (1198 is on grade level). There were four parts to the FCAT and he received a perfect score on 2 of them!
Brendan’s teacher stated she was not anadvocate of tutoring centers, saying she often sees no results by her students, but she was remarkably pleased with Brendan’s progress. Several months into the school year Scott & I noticed that Brendan was struggling with his writing. We enrolled him in the KP writing program without speaking to his teacher and Brendan’s grades immediately started to improve. During the next parent-teacher conference she said she already knew he must be working on his writing at KP and she stated she would recommend KP to her students in the future.
In addition to the academic success Brendan achieved he is now more confident. I often find him reading and writing on his own and he has already completed two of the fifteen Sunshine State reader books. Thank you very much!

He has never failed a reading test since starting KnowledgePoints and has never scored below an 80% on a test. This year he tried both the SAT and ACT hoping to get a reading score high enough to “substitute” for the FCAT as the state allows, but he wasn’t able to pass those tests either.
